Oats Halwa - Easy Diwali Sweets
This delicious oats halwa is not only easy to make but taste delicious too. It is perfect to make for diwali or any special occasions.
Ingredients
- Ghee - ¼ cup
- Instant oats - ½ cup
- Milk - ½ cup
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Cashews - 2 tblsp
- Cardamom Powder - ½ tsp
Instructions
- Dry roast oats for 4 to 5 mins till it smells toasty. Take it in a blender and powder fine.
- Take 2 tblsp of ghee in a pan, add in cashews and fry till golden. Set aside.
- Add in oats powder and stir for 2 mins.
- Now add in milk and keep cooking and stiring till it thickens.,
- Add sugar and mix well. Once it starts to thicken, add in ghee little by little and mix well.
- Cook till halwa leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add cardamom powder and fried nuts. Mix well.
- Serve
