Take flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add in cubed cold butter into it and use a fork to mix it into the flour to create crumble like. Add orange zest and cranberries and mix well.
Add in the milk and orange juice and use the fork to bring it together.
Now take it in a work surface and flatten it. Now cut it into wedges.
Now arrange it in a baking tray and brush with the remaining milk. bake for 15 to 20 mins. Remove from oven and cool slightly. Serve with jam and cream.
Notes
Make sure to use cold butter for better texture.
Once you add orange juice and milk, don't over work the dough. Else the scones may get dense.
Once you bring the scones dough together, you can do multiple folds to create layers.
You can skip milk in this recipe and use one beaten egg instead.
If you are not baking the scones straight away. You can place them in fridge and bake later.
