I have already shared a real irish scones recipe which got really good response. So i decided to share a eggless version. This one is flavoured with orange and cranberries which taste best together. This scones taste amazing with a cup of tea or coffee. So buttery and delicious.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 15 to 20 mins
Makes: 12 scones
Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 3/4 cup (210 grams)
Sugar – 1/4 cup (50 grams)
Baking Powder – 2 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Cold Unsalted Butter – 7 tblspn cubed
Milk – 1/3 cup / 80 ml (add more if needed)
Orange Juice – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
Orange Zest from 2 oranges
Cranberries – 1/2 cup
(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)
Method:
Preheat oven to 425 degree C / 220 degree F.
Take flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix well.
Add in cubed cold butter into it and use a fork to mix it into the flour to create crumble like.
Add orange zest and cranberries and mix well.
Now add in the milk and orange juice and use the fork to bring it together.
Now take it in a work surface and flatten it. Now cut it into wedges.
Now arrange it in a baking tray and brush with the remaining milk. bake for 15 to 20 mins.
Now remove from oven and cool slightly.
Serve with jam and cream.
