- 1 cup / 120 grams All Purpose Flour / Maida
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 50 grams Soft Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup / 200 grams Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- ¼ cup / 60 ml / 2 fluid ounces Fresh Orange Juice
- ½ cup / 120 ml / 4 fluid ounces Milk
- 1 tablespoon Orange zest from 2 oranges
Preheat the oven to 180 Degree C / 360 Degree F.
Grease a baking tin with butter and dust it with flour, tap off the excess flour and set it aside till use.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt together till it is well combined. Set it aside till use.
Now take butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and cream them well.
Now Add in half the milk and mix them around.
Add in flour mix and give them a stir.
Pour the remaining milk and orange juice and mix them well.
Fold in the orange zest as well.
Now bake it in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 mins till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let it cool down, now invert the cake. Slice and serve.
