Pecan Pie Recipe | Best Ever Pecan Pie Recipe

Pecan pie is a classic dessert that is loved for its rich flavour and taste. It is made with a flaky, buttery pie crust and a smooth caramel pecan filling. This pie is often made for Thanksgiving table, but it's also perfect to enjoy as dessert for any time. Serve this warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.

Equipment

8 inch pie dish
Sauce Pan
Oven or OTG

Ingredients

This Recipe Measurements Fits for a standard 8 or 9 inch Pie dish. In the Step by Step pictures and Video I have used 4 inch small pie plate. So I have halved the original recipe.

For 8 inch Pie Dish

  • 1 batch Basic Shortcrust Pastry
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter (110 grams)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Corn Syrup or Liquid Glucose
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Pecans
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree C / 350 degree F.
  • Start by making the pie crust and chill it for atleast 30 mins. Now roll it between two sheets of plastic wrap and line a pie plate, slice of the excess and pop this in fridge till needed.
  • Now in a sauce pan, take butter and melt it down. Now add all ingredients except pecans and set aside.
  • Take the pie plate and sprinkle with pecans, pour the filling in it and top with whole pecans if needed.
  • Bake this for 50 to 60 mins or untill it is golden and done. Remove it and set aside for 30 mins to cool down.
  • Now pop it in fridge for a good 2 hours before slicing. Slice and serve.
