Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Sweet Potato | Cheeni Kizhangu peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup Yam Ordinary | Karunai Kizhangu peeled and cubed
  • 1 large Raw Banana | Vazhakkai peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup Snake Gourd | Pudalangai chopped
  • 1 cup White Pumpkin | Ash Gourd peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups Pumpkin | Poosanikai peeled and cubed
  • 1 large Potato peeled and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Water for cooking veggies

For Cooking Moong Dal

  • ½ cup Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu
  • 2 cups Water

For Grinding

  • 1 cup Fresh Coconut grated
  • 4 no Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • ½ cup Water for grinding

For Tempering

  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Split Urad dal
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Take moong dal in a pan, cover with water and cook till done.
  • Take grinding ingredients in a blender, add water little by little and make it into a smooth paste.
  • Prepare veggies and wash them well. Now take them in a pot and add in salt, turmeric powder and water. Mix well. Bring it to a boil and cover and simmer the flame and cook for 15 to 20 mins till veggies are done.
  • Once the veggies are done, add cooked dal and coconut masala and mix well. Simmer for a further 5 mins.
  • Now make tempering by heating oil and crackling the spices, pour this in to the curry and mix well.
  • Serve with rice.
