Punjabi Aloo Curry Recipe | Aloo Puri Recipe
Delicious punjabi aloo curry with step by step pictures. Potatoes, tomatoes are cooked till thick taste yummy with roti, poori.
Ingredients
- Oil - 2 tblspn
- Carom Seeds / Ajwain / Omam - ½ tsp
- Onion - 1 large chopped finely
- Green Chillies - 1 slit
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Tomatoes - 3 large pureed
- Potatoes - 2 large peeled and cubed
- Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder - ½ tsp
- Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in some carom seeds and sizzle it for a min.
- Add in onions and cook till golden.
- Add in green chillies and ginger garlic paste.Saute for a min
- Add in tomatoes and cook till oil separates.
- Add in salt, chilli powder and turmeric. Mix well.
- Add in potatoes and some water. Pressure cook for 3 whistle, simmer for 5 mins, turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself.
- Now open the cooker and add in garam masala powder and amchoor powder. Mix well.
- Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve.
