Besan Flour / Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu - 1 ¼ cup
Urad Dal powder / Ulundu Mavu - ⅓ cup
Salt to taste
Baking Soda - ⅛ tsp
Oil - 2 tblspn for deep frying
Warm water as needed
Wheat flour for rolling
For Spice Powder:
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Black Salt - 1 tsp
Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder - 1 tsp
Take gram flour, urad dal mavu, salt, baking soda and mix well.
Take water and heat it till warm, add in oil and pour this over the flour and knead well till it gets smooth. Set aside for 10 mins.
Take dough in a board, sprinkle with wheat flour and roll it thin.
Cut it into strips.
Heat oil for deep frying and drop in hot oil. It will puff up.
Fry till crispy and remove it. Sprinkle with spice powder mix and serve.
