Ingredients

  • 2 tblspnOil
  • 1 tblspn Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf
  • 1 small stick Cinnamon / Pattai
  • 1 medium size chopped finely Onion or Leek
  • 1 tblspn Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 medium size chopped Carrot
  • 1 medium size chopped Capsicum
  • 2 large chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 choppedGreen Chillies
  • 2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tblspn Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 6 to 7 Bread Slices
  • 3 tblspn finely chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 3 tblspn finely chopped Mint Leaves
  • ½ cup Yogurt / Curd
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions

  • Toast your bread in a toaster or in oven or in tawa. Cut into pieces and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a nonstick kadai. Add in cinnamon and fennel seeds and let them sizzle.
  • Now add in onions, chillies and saute till golden.
  • Add in ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell leaves.
  • Add in tomatoes and season with salt and sugar. Cook till tomatoes turn mushy.
  • Add in spice powders and mix well. Add in veggies and mix well.
  • Pour in a cup of water, simmer the pan and cook covered for 10 mins on low heat till veggies are done.
  • Now add in yogurt, coriander and mint leaves and mix well.
  • Now add in the bread pieces and toss well.
  • Cover with a lid and simmer it for 5 mins.
  • Serve.
