Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Oil + 1 tbsp for making kabab
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 1 Green Chillies
  • 1 cup Peas I used frozen
  • 4 cups Spinach
  • 1 Potato cooked, peeled and mashed
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Gram Flour
  • 1 tsp Chat Masala Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp Breadcrumbs or as needed

Instructions

  • Take spinach in a pan, cover with water and let it cook for 5 mins till it is wilted. Now strain it and chop it really finely. Set aside till use
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add in all whole spices and saute for a min.
  • Add in onions, garlic, ginger, chillies and saute for a min.
  • Add in peas, spinach and toss well.
  • Add in besan and toss well for 2 mins till it is fried.
  • Add in potatoes and mix well.
  • Cool it and take it in a blender, pulse it few times till it is coarsely blended.
  • Remove to a bowl, add in salt, chat masala and breadcrumbs if needed.
  • Take small portion and shape it into ball. Flatten it lightly..
  • Put it in lightly oiled tawa and pan fry till golden on both sides
  • Remove and serve with ketchup or red chutney.
