Ingredients

For Rice flour mixture

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • ½ cup Water
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

For Tempering

  • 2 tablespoon Coconut Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Split White Urad dal
  • 2 no Dry Red Chillies broken into pieces
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves a sprig
  • 1 no Green Chillies chopped finely
  • ½ cup Fresh Coconut grated

Instructions
 

  • Take rice flour, salt in a bowl. Mix well. Add some water and use your hands to crumble the flour with water to form coarse breadcrumbs like texture.
  • Now use a ladle to scoop some of the rice flour mixture and place on idli steamer. Place inside idli pot and steam cook for 5 to 8 minutes until the mixture is cooked. Remove from steamer, crumble them with your hands and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard, urad dal, dry red chillies, curry leaves, green chillies and let them fry in the oil.
  • Now add in the cooked rice flour mixture, add in coconut and toss well. Cover with a lid and let it cook on low heat for 2 mins.
  • Serve hot.
