1 cup Split yellow moong dal / Pasi paruppu 4 cups Cabbage 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder / Manjal Podi 2 to 3 Green Chillies 2 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp Salt to taste 1 teaspoon Red Chilli flakes 1 tablespoon Ghee 2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds Water as needed ½ teaspoon Sugar Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
Take dal in a bowl and wash it well.
Add in cabbage, chillies, turmeric and water and bring it to a boil. Simmer the flame and cook for 20 mins till it is done.
Now add in salt, sugar, tamarind, chilli flakes and tamarind. Mix well. Simmer for 5 more mins.
Now heat ghee and crackl some cumin seeds. Pour this over the dal and mix well.
Top with lots of coriander leaves,
Serve with rice.
