Spicy addictive chicken wings baked in an oven. One simple ingredient to get the crispy chicken wings every single time. Toss baked wings in a fiery yet flavourful hot sauce and you are in heaven. Enjoy spicy chicken wings with blue cheese dipping sauce or cream cheese dipping sauce (recipe below), you will be making it over and over again.
Pre preparation - Preheat oven to 220 degree C (425 degree F). Line a baking tray with aluminium foil and Place a wire rack over the baking tray.
Make Sauce - In a skillet, take your favorite hot sauce, minced garlic, sugar, vinegar, butter and water. Place on heat and cook on medium heat until the sauce gets syrupy and slightly thick and glossy. Set aside till use.
Marinating Chicken - Take your chicken wings. I am using bone-in skin on chicken wings. it is important to pat them super dry with paper towel. Add in chilli powder, garlic powder, pepper powder, salt, baking powder and oil. Toss to combine.
Baking Chicken - Grease the wire rack with some oil so the wings doesn't stick to the rack. Arrange the chicken on the wire rack. Place it into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the tray from oven after 20 minutes, flip the chicken over and bake again for another 20 minutes. Now remove the chicken from oven, flip again and bake for another 5 minutes.
Tossing in sauce - Once the chicken is cooked, take the chicken wings in a bowl. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and toss well. Serve with dipping sauce of choice.
