1 cup Dried White Peas / Vatana ½ cup chopped into tiny pieces Raw Mango ½ cup finely grated Coconut 1 small finely chopped Onion 1 finely chopped Green Chilli ½ teaspoon Chilli Powder Salt to taste For Seasoning: 1 teaspoon Oil 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds / Kaduku 1 teaspoon Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu 1 spring Curry leaves
Soak peas overnight or for 8 hours and add it to pressure cooker along with some salt. Cover with water and pressure cook it for 2 whistle. Let the
steam go all by itself. Open the pressure cooker and drain them. Set aside till use.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in the seasoning ingredients and saute for 30 sec.
Now add in onions, green chilli and give a quick toss.
Add in raw mango and mix once.
Add in the cooked peas, chilli powder, salt and mix well.
Once mixed add in coconut and mix once.
Serve.
