Semolina

Brown Sugar

Water
▢

Milk

Butter

Few Drops Rose Extract
Instructions
▢
Heat butter and oil in a frying pan, add in semolina and roast till it gets golden.
▢
Add in chopped nuts and mix well. Fry till golden.
▢
Take milk, sugar, water in a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil.
▢
Pour the hot milk mix into the semolina and mix well.
▢
Stir till it thickens.
▢
Add in rose extract ad mix well.
▢
Serve hot.
Notes
Toast the semolina in butter till it gets toasty and golden brown.
You can use milk instead of water.
Traditionally pine nuts are used. But you can use any nuts of your choice.
Finely chopped walnuts adds nice crunch to the halwa
Addition of rose extract is optional. You can skip if needed.

Serve this halwa hot, warm or cold with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
