- ½ cup Semolina
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- ½ cup Milk
- ¼ cup Butter
- 3 tablespoon Oil
- ¼ cup Mixed Nuts
- Few Drops Rose Extract
Heat butter and oil in a frying pan, add in semolina and roast till it gets golden.
Add in chopped nuts and mix well. Fry till golden.
Take milk, sugar, water in a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil.
Pour the hot milk mix into the semolina and mix well.
Stir till it thickens.
Add in rose extract ad mix well.
Serve hot.
- Toast the semolina in butter till it gets toasty and golden brown.
- You can use milk instead of water.
- Traditionally pine nuts are used. But you can use any nuts of your choice.
- Finely chopped walnuts adds nice crunch to the halwa
- Addition of rose extract is optional. You can skip if needed.
