- 1 cup Varagu / Kodo Millet
- 3 cups Water
- 10 cloves peeled Garlic
- Curry Leaves a handful
- Salt to taste
- Freshly Crushed Pepper to taste
- 2 to 3 cups or as needed Boiled Milk
Take varagu in a bowl and wash it really well. Now take it in pressure cooker, add in water, curry leaves, garlic and salt.
Cook for 3 whistle. Simmer it for 10 mins. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself. Open the cooker and mix it well.
Add in milk and mix well. Adjust the milk quantity as you need.
Now pour kanji into a bowl and serve with a sprinkling of pepper and pickle.
