Ingredients
  

  • 15 Vendakkai / Ladysfinger / Okra
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder / Mangal podi
  • 2 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1 cup Thayir / Thick Unsour Curd / Yogurt
  • Salt to taste

For Grinding:

  • 2 teaspoon Toor Dal / Tuvaram paruppu
  • 1 teaspoon Urad Dal / Ulundam Paruppu
  • 1 teaspoon Channa Dal / Kadala Paruppu
  • 1 cup Coconut
  • 3 Green chillies

For Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds / Kaduku
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds / Jeerakam
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Soak all three dals for at least 15 mins. Now take the dals in the blender and add in coconut and green chillies and make into a fine paste. Set this aside for a moment.
  • Now heat 2 tblspn of oil in a pan. Add in ladysfinger in it.  Fry this for 5 mins.
  • Add in turmeric powder and mix well. Pour in water and let it come to a boil.
  • Add in the ground masala and mix well. Simmer this for 10 mins.
  • Season with salt and mix well. Switch off the flame and let it cool a bit.
  • Now pour in curd and mix well.
  • Make seasoning heat oil and crackling mustard, cumin and curry leaves.
  • Pour this over the gravy and mix well.
  • Serve hot with rice.
