1 tablespoon Dry Neem Flower / Veppam Poo Tamarind a small gooseberry size Salt to taste ½ teaspoon Sugar 2 cups Water For Seasoning: 1 teaspoon Ghee ½ teaspoon Mustard Seeds / Kaduku ½ teaspoon Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam ½ teaspoon Toor Dal / Tuvaram Paruppu ½ teaspoon Urad Dal / Ulundu Paruppu a pinch Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi 3 broken Dry Red Chilli Curry leaves a handful
Soak tamarind in water for 10 mins. Squeeze and strain the water. Set aside.
Dry roast neem flower in a pan for 2 to 3 mins. Set aside.
Heat ghee in a pan, add in all the seasoning ingredients. Fry for a min.
Pour in tamarind water, salt, sugar and bring it to a boil.
Once it boils, add in neem flower and turn off the heat.
Serve with rice.
