Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Rice You can use Raw Rice / Pacharisi too
  • ½ cup Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 2 teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • 5 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee

Instructions
 

  • Take rice and dal in a bowl and wash well.
  • Take everything in a pressure cooker, except ghee. Mix well and pressure cook for 4 whistle.
  • Simmer the flame and cook for 10 mins. Turn off the heat and let the steam escape all by itself.
  • Now open the cooker and add ghee. Mix well.
  • Serve.
