This is another traditional and festive recipe. Amma makes this for navrathri or any vratham days. I love it so much. It is so simple and has a simple and clean taste. It is good for babies too.

This taste best with sambar or chutney..I hope you will try this out and let me know how it turned out for you..
Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 25 to 30 mins
Serves : 4

Ingredients:
Rice – 1 cup (You can use Raw Rice / Pacharisi too)
Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu – 1/2 cup
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 2 tsp
Black Pepper – 2 tsp Crushed
Salt to taste
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi -1  tsp
