Swiss Roll Recipe with step by step pictures. This Jelly rolls or jam roll is made with Flour, Jam and Icing Sugar. It has a sponge cake that has jam spread on it and rolled. Perfect dessert.
Start by preparing a swiss roll pan by applying some oil over it, then line it with parchment paper and apply oil on that as well. Now sprinkle it with some flour and tap off the excess flour. Set this aside till use.
Now take eggs in a bowl and beat till fluffy.
Now add in sugar and beat till nice and fluffy again.
Add in vanilla and warm water and beat till fluffy.
Now sieve in flour two time and fold very gently till it is well combined,
Pour this in prepared pan and spread thinly.
Bake this for 10 to 12 mins.
Remove it and let it cool for 2 mins.
Spread a parchment paper on a table, sprinkle with some more powdered sugar or icing sugar. Flip the cake over the sugar. Peel off the parchment carefully. Cover the entire cake with a slightly damp cloth and let it cool completely.
Now spread some jam all over it and carefully roll it.
Place this in a tray and sprinkle with icing sugar.
