Ingredients
  

  • Beetroots - 2 grated
  • Yellow Moong Dal - ½ cup
  • Oil - 1 tblspn
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Water as needed

Instructions
 

  • Soak moong dal for 1 hour.Drain and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and urad dal. Let them sizzle.
  • Add beetroot and saute them for a while. Add in moong dal and mix well. Add little water and cover it with a lid. Cook this for 15 mins till dal is cooked.
  • Add chilli powder and salt and mix well.
  • Serve.
