    Beetroot Moong Dal Sabzi Recipe

    Beetroot Moong Dal Sabzi is a combination of split yellow moong dal and beetroots. This is a perfect accompaniment for rice along with mixed veg sabzi and beetroot kurma.

    Beetroot Sabzi is a simple recipe which you can make in less than 30 mins. if you don't have much time at all, then this is an option.

    Are you low on vegetable, say if you have only one beetroot and have to feed a family of 5. Mix some moong dal into the sabzi. You will have a quick and healthy meal on hand. A quick and easy sabzi made using beets and dal. It is delicious and healthy too.

    How to Make Beetroot Sabzi

    • Soak moong dal for 1 hour.Drain and set aside.
    • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and urad dal. Let them sizzle.
    • Add beetroot and saute them for a while. Add in moong dal and mix well. Pour little water and cover it with a lid. Cook this for 15 mins till dal is cooked.
    • Add chilli powder and salt and mix well.
    • Serve.

    • Beetroots - 2 grated
    • Yellow Moong Dal - ½ cup
    • Oil - 1 tblspn
    • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
    • Urad dal - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Water as needed

    grate them finely
     
     
    soak moong dal for 1 hour

     

    heat oil mustard and urad dal

     

    let them sizzle

     

    add beets
     
     
    add moong dal

     

    mix well. add little water

     

    cover and simmer
     
     
    now beets are cooked

     

    dal is cooked

     

    add salt and chilli powder

     

    mix well

     

    serve
