Cheema Chakka Poriyal recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is prepared using bread fruit mixed with indian spices. It can be served with rice and rasam.
Peel breadfruit and cube them. Take them in a pot along with onions, salt, turmeric powder and 1 cup of water. Cover and cook on a low heat for 15 mins till it is cooked. Now the water would be reduced as well.
Now heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. Let them sizzle.
Now add in the cooked bread fruit and salt and toss well. Fry this on medium heat till it is well caramelized.
Now add in chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix well.
Cook that for few more mins.
Now serve with rice and rasam.
