Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams cut into large pieces or small Chicken your choice
  • 1 tablespoon or to taste Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin Powder / Jeera Podi
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Food Colouring a pinch
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tablespoon All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 3 tablespoon Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Oil for Deep Frying
  • For Grinding:
  • Curry Leaves - a handful
  • ½ cup chopped Coriander Leaves
  • ½ cup chopped Mint Leaves
  • 5 cm piece peeled Ginger
  • 10 cloves Garlic
  • 5 Green Chillies

Instructions
 

  • Take all the grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a coarse puree.
  • Now take cleaned chicken in a bowl, add in the puree, along with all ingredients given in the list except oil, maida and rice flour.
  • Mix well and leave this to marinate overnight or 3 to 4 hours.
  • Now add in maida and rice flour and mix well.
  • Heat oil for deep frying and fry the chicken in batches on a low to medium heat for 15 to 20 mins.
  • Now increase the heat to a high and fry it for 5 to 10 mins till it turns crispy.
  • Drain in paper towel and serve.
