Chilli Tofu Recipe with step by step pictures. This is a Indo-Chinese recipe with spicy, sweet, and sour flavors. It can be served with white rice, brown rice, quinoa or even veg fried rice.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 medium size sliced thinly Onions
  • ½ sliced thinly Capsicum
  • 2 slit Green Chillies
  • 4 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Soya Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Green Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Red Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Chilli Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • Spring Onion a handful chopped
  • For Coating:
  • 200 grams cubed Tofu
  • 2 tablespoon All purpose flour / Maida
  • 2 tablespoon Cornflour
  • ½ teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions
 

  • Mix all coating ingredients for tofu and mix well. Dip tofu in this and fry till golden. Drain this.
  • In the remaining oil, add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  • Add in onions, chillies and capsicum, salt, sugar and mix well. cook for couple of mins.
  • Add in sauces and chilli powder and mix well.
  • Now add in fried tofu and toss well.
  • Add in vinegar and mix well.
  • Add spring onion and mix well.
  • Serve.
