Cinnamon Swirl Bread Recipe (Cinnamon Bread)

Cinnamon swirl bread is a special holiday bakes just like my cinnamon rolls. Bread which has a swirl of cinnamon sugar butter inside which taste delicious and is super easy to make. This bread makes a perfect holiday treat to bake and is quite easy to bake as well.

Ingredients
  

For Bread Dough

  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour 360 grams
  • teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Sugar 50 grams
  • cup Milk 300 ml
  • 2 teaspoon Dry Yeast
  • 2 tablespoon Butter

For Cinnamon Sugar Swirl

  • 4 tablespoon Butter melted
  • 2 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ¾ cup Sugar 150 grams

Instructions
 

  • Take 2 tblspn of butter in a sauce pan, add milk and sugar and heat till sugar is melts. Now take it off the heat and let it come to warm temp. Now sprinkle yeast over it and set aside for 5 mins.
  • Now take flour, salt in a bowl and mix well. Add yeast milk mix and knead to a soft dough. Now cover it and set aside for 1 hour till it doubles in size. Punch the air out and knead it well.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
  • Take it in a work surface. Sprinkle flour underneath it if needed. Now spread over the 4 tblspn of melted butter over the dough. Now sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix and start rolling. Pinch the ends and place it in a greased loaf pan and cover it lightly. Now leave it to rise for another 1 hour.
  • During the last 10 mins of rising. Preheat oven to 180 degree C / 350 degree F. Pop this in oven and bake for 35 to 45 mins. Now remove it and cool it completely. Slice and serve.

Notes

  • You can use whole wheat flour instead of plain flour. Half plain flour and half whole wheat flour can be used.
  • Instead of melting the butter, you can spread it with softened butter.
  • Instead of white sugar you can use brown sugar.
  • Chopped nuts or chocolate chips can be sprinkled over the dough.
