French toast is a popular breakfast recipe all over the world. This recipe for french toast has both egg and eggless option. 1teaspoonVanilla Custard Powder(or use 1 egg yolks)
½teaspoonGround Cinnamon
2tablespoonGranulated Sugar
¼teaspoonSalt
½cupMilk
1largeEgg
1teaspoonVanilla Extract
For Berry Topping
1cupStrawberriesSliced
1cupBlueberries
3tablespoonHoney or Maple Syrup
1teaspoonVanilla Extract
Instructions
Berry Topping - Take strawberry, blueberry, vanilla, honey in a bowl and mix well. Let ti sit for 15 minutes till it gets syrupy.
Make Custard - Take sugar, cinnamon, salt, custard powder in a shallow bowl. Pour in milk and mix until lump free. Add in egg, vanilla and mix well.
Soaking Bread - Place bread slices on top of the custard. Soak them on both sides.
Cooking French Toast - Melt butter in a pan and heat. Place bread on top and cook on low heat for 2 to 3 mins. Now flip over and cook for another 2 to 3 mins.
Serving - Once cooked, Remove and serve with the berries.
