Korean Street Toast also known as Gilgeori toast is one of the popular street food style sandwich recipe all over Korea. This healthy egg sandwich is made with lots of cabbage, carrot, green onions. It is a sweet and savoury sandwich made with vegetable egg patty placed over butter toasted bread, ketchup and sugar. Learn how to make Korean street toast with step by step pictures and video.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan. Place 2 slices of bread and toast. Keep flipping in-between and cook till toasted and crispy on both sides. Remove it and set aside.
Mix cabbage, carrot, spring onion, salt, pepper and egg in a bowl. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan, pour the egg vegetables mix over the butter, try and shape the egg mix like a square shape. Cook on low heat, for 2 to 3 minutes. Now flip over and cook on low for another 2 minutes. While the egg is cooking, shape the vegetable Patty into square shape. Once the veggies is cooked, remove to a plate and set aside.
Now assemble the sandwich. Take the toasted bread, place the veggie patty, drizzle in tomato ketchup and sprinkle over some sugar. Place the other slice of bread on top. Cut into diagonals and enjoy.

Notes
Make sure you toast the bread in butter for extra flavour. You can toast the bread in a toaster till crisp and spread some butter once toasted.
Make sure you use at least 1 cup of vegetable mix for 1 egg. This makes the vegetable patty taste great.
Never skip on the sugar, it is very important for the taste.
You can add a slice of cheese on top of the vegetable patty.
Drizzle the vegetable patty with some kewpie mayo for taste.
