For Paneer Stuffing

  • 200 grams Paneer | Cottage Cheese crumbled or grated
  • 1 no Green Chilli chopped finely
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Oil

Instructions

  • Start by making the filling. Heat oil and add cumin in it. Now add in crumbled paneer and mix well. Add green chilli in this. In goes turmeric, chilli, coriander and garam masala powder and mix well. Season with salt and throw in lots of coriander leaves and mix well. Remove it to a bowl and allow it to cool down completely. Please make sure that the filling is completely dry. If it is wet we cannot stuff it inside parathas.
  • Now make the dough. Take flour, salt in a mixing bowl. Add in water slowly and form into a little soft dough. Apply some oil and knead it to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 15 mins.
  • Now divide into equal portions and start making parathas. Take one dough and spread it slightly. Spoon some filling in and seal from all sides. Now roll carefully to make into a paratha.
  • Heat a tawa and cook this paratha on both sides by applying some oil. Remove to an insulated container and serve with any side dish of your choice.

Notes

  • For making stuffed paratha. You can whole wheat flour and plain flour for making dough. Dough has to be allowed to rest for 30 minutes before making paratha.
  • You can use tofu instead of paneer.
  • You can use any of your favorite spice and blend for this dish.
  • Ghee can be used for cooking paratha.
