Turkish Chicken Recipe (Chicken with Greek Yogurt)
Inspired from Cilbir, I created this recipe for Turkish chicken that is so addictive, you will be making it over and over again. Healthy and high protein chicken dish made with greek yogurt sauce, topped with sautéed chicken and chilli garlic butter taste super satiating with pita bread.
Start by making the yogurt sauce. Mix greek yogurt with garlic, lemon juice, coriander leaves, salt till creamy. Set aside till ready to serve. You can store this in fridge for 3 to 4 days.
Now let’s cook chicken. Heat olive oil in a pan, add in ginger garlic paste and stir fry for a minute till aromatic.
Add in chilli powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala powder and stir fry for 10 seconds.
Add in chopped chicken, salt and stir fry for 6 to 8 minutes until chicken is completely cooked.
Now in the end, add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well. Your stir fried chicken is ready.
Now let’s make chilli garlic butter. Heat butter and garlic in a sauce pan. Cook until garlic gets golden brown. Now add in chilli flakes, cumin powder and coriander leaves. Mix well and set aside, this is your butter.
Now to assemble. Take a serving plate, spread 1 cup of yogurt sauce. Top with half of the sautéed chicken and drizzle with half of the garlic butter. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with pita bread.
