Glazed Chocolate Cookies Recipe | Chocolate Cookies with Chocolate Glaze

Glazed Chocolate Cookies is a buttery chocolate cookies coated with a thick chocolate glaze. The cookies or biscuits is made with flour, sugar, butter, cocoa and baking agents which makes it so buttery and delicious just like my chocolate chip cookies or Eggless chocolate cookies. The glaze is like a cherry on top which takes this chocolate cookies to a whole new level. Make this cookies with regular AP flour or whole wheat flour, it turns out just perfect. Ingredients
  

For Chocolate Cookie Dough

  • 125 grams Unsalted Butter (Soft at Room temp)
  • ½ cup Sugar (powdered)
  • ¼ cup Cocoa
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour 120 grams
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract

For Chocolate Glaze

  • ½ cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Boiling Water
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • Sprinkles as needed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 170 Degree C. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.
  • Now take butter, sugar, vanilla in a bowl and cream well. Add in cocoa powder and cream again. Add in flour, baking soda and baking powder and mix well to form a dough.
  • Take a portion of dough and shape it into balls. Arrange it in a baking tray and flatten it slightly. Bake this in oven for 15 minute. Remove it from oven and let it cool on the tray for 15 minutes, Because it will get hard as it cools.
  • While the cookies are cooling, make icing. Take everything except sprinkles in a sauce pan and heat till it is melted. Remove it from heat and cool it slightly. Now pour this over the cookies and top with sprinkles. Let this set for 2 hours. Now store this in an air tight container and enjoy.

Notes

  • Instead of plain flour, you can use wheat flour for making cookie dough.
  • Make sure you powder the sugar before adding into the butter for creaming easier.
  • Don't over mix the dough else it may get hard and dense.
  • Instead of making glaze, you can melt some semi sweet chocolate chips and spread all over the cookies.
  • Don't over bake the cookies, the cookies may look soft when it comes out of the oven. As the cookies cool, it will harden a bit. 

Storage & Serving

Chocolate cookies is best served with a cup of milk. You can enjoy with some unsweetened tea or coffee as well. 
Glazed chocolate cookies can be stored in an air tight container for upto 2 to 3 days.
