Peanut butter nutella combination on bread is my favorite sandwich especially when I want something quick and sweet. It needs only three ingredients and requires no cooking. It is a simple recipe that everyone in the family will love.

About Peanut Butter and Nutella Sandwich

I often make this sandwich on busy mornings when I want something quick but filling. It is also one of my favorite recipes to prepare for kids because it is so simple and needs no cooking.

Just spread peanut butter on the bread slices, nutella on another, put them together and the sandwich is ready.

Kids love peanut butter and nutella anyway, so this will be a hit. You can enjoy the sandwich as it is or lightly toast or grill with butter until bread turns golden crispy. Toasting also makes the sandwich even more delicious. It tastes great either way.

I like to remove the crust off the sandwich for presentation and taste wise. Since this is an untoasted sandwich, it is best to use the softest bread you can find.

While this sandwich is tasty on its own, you can also easily customize it with more filling by adding sliced bananas, strawberries, or chopped nuts like peanuts, almonds and roasted hazelnuts for extra flavour and texture.

You can make my homemade nutella and peanut butter to make the sandwich. Check my Nutella made with peanuts.

You can cut the sandwich into finger sandwiches or use cutters to cut into heart, circle for kids lunch boxes, tea time snacks or for picnics. It tastes great with a glass of milk and is always a favorite with both kids and adults.

    • Peanut butter : Peanut butter gives the sandwich a rich, nutty flavour and makes it more filling.

1)I am using store bought nutella and peanut butter. You can use homemade. Check my homemade peanut butter recipe and homemade nutella recipe.

2)You will be needing 3 bread slices for each sandwich.

3)Remove the crust off each bread slice. This is optional.

4)Now you have 3 bread slice. Make sure to use soft white bread, since this is an untoasted sandwich, soft bread taste better.

5)Spread a tablespoon of nutella on top of one bread.

6)Place another slice of bread on top.

7)Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on top. I am using crunchy peanut butter, you can use smooth peanut butter also.

9)Now cut the sandwich into triangles.

10)Look how cute they look. Enjoy immediately. if you are going to store this for long period of time, Wrap it tight in plastic wrap.

    11)Serve.

    Expert Tips

    • You can also add roasted peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews for extra crunchy texture and flavour.
    • Spread nutella and peanut butter evenly so every bite is sweet and delicious.
    • Don't add too much filling, as it can make the sandwich filling spill out.
    • Add banana slices in between the bread to make it extra richer and filling.
    • You can cut the sandwich into any desired shapes like finger, mini squares, circle, heart etc.

    Storage and Serving

This sandwich tastes best when served fresh.  Serve this sandwich with a glass of milk, coffee, tea or a smoothie for a filling breakfast.
