Ulundu Choru Recipe - Ulundhu Saadam Recipe - Urad Dal Rice in Pressure Cooker

Healthy and highly nutritious ulundu sadham or urad dal rice which is easy to make and taste delicious with dal curry, egg avial or nattu kozhi kuzhambu.

This is a common dish in my house. We make it atleast twice a month. It is packed with nutrients and health property. There is two version of this, we make kanji out of this. But i love this saadam more than kanji. The perfect sidedish of this is egg avial, roasted coriander thogayal and paruppu. My absolute favorite. Try it and let me know how it turned out..

I have already shared a version of urad dal rice which my mom makes. This is my version. You can check out my wheat and dal kanji too..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

Hi Aarthi, I was a bit hesitant about this recipe because I felt how the taste will be due to the black urad dal. But since it is healthy for girls, I thought I should give a try. It was a quick and easy recipe to make. It turned out so well. The taste was very good. Everyone in my family liked it. I have decided that I should make it often. Thank you for sharing a healthy recipe.
