Easy and delicious matar paneer ki sabzi made two ways. This curry taste delicious with roti or rice.

Ingredients
  

MATAR PANEER (CREAM SAUCE)

  • Onion-1 chopped finely
  • Paneer / Cottage Cheese-1 cup cubed
  • Frozen Peas-2 cups
  • Coriander leaves / Cilantro-1 cup
  • Thick Curd- ½ cup
  • Milk / Heavy Cream-½ cup
  • Cashew-10 pieces
  • Green chilli-2
  • Coriander powder / Malli podi-1 tblspn
  • Garam masala powder-1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar-1 tsp
  • Oil-3 tblspn

MATAR PANEER (RED SAUCE)

  • Onion-1 sliced
  • Tomato-3 chopped
  • Paneer-1 cup cubed
  • Fresh Peas-1 cup
  • Ginger-1 inch piece chopped
  • Garlic-6 cloves
  • Coriander powder/Malli podi-1 tblspn
  • Chilli powder-2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal podi-1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder-1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds/Jeera-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves / Cilantro-for garnishing
  • Oil-2 tblspn

Instructions
 

MATAR PANEER (CREAM SAUCE)

  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry the paneer pieces till golden brown..Drain it and soak it in water till ready to use.
  • Add cashews and onions in the remaining oil and fry till golden brown.
  • Drain this and put it in the blender along with coriander leaves and green chilli and make it into a fine paste.
  • Now add cumin seeds to the remaining oil and crackle it.
  • Add the ground masala to this..Add coriander powder,garam masala powder,salt and sugar and mix well.
  • Cook till oil separates.Throw in the frozen peas and peas and mix well.
  • Add required amount of water and bring that to boil..Simmer and cook till the peas is cooked.
  • Mix in the curd and milk in this...Bring this to boil and simmer for 5 mins.
  • Serve hot with roti..

MATAR PANEER (RED SAUCE)

  • Heat 1 tblspn of oil and fry ginger and garlic...Add in onions and cook until golden brown.
  • Add in tomato and mix well once...Throw this in a blender and make a fine paste.
  • Heat 1 tblspn of oil in a kadai..Add cumin seeds and crackle..
  • Add this blender masala and cook till oil separates.
  • Add coriander,turmeric,chilli and garam masala powder and mix well..
  • Add in fresh peas and paneer and mix well..
  • Pour in required amount of water and bring that to boil..
  • Tranfer this to pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistle or cook on the kadai till the peas are cooked...
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve with roti or rice...
