    Homemade Chocolate Cake Mix Recipe - Edible Christmas Gift Ideas with step wise pictures.

    An amazing fail proof vanilla cake mix recipe which never goes wrong. This cake mix can be made both with eggs and eggless. This recipe is a keeper.

    Since it is the festive season, you must be wondering what gifts to give for your friends and families. So i thought of sharing some cool edible gift ideas for you all.So i sat down with a paper and pen and wrote down all of the possible and family favorite recipes. I came up with few cake mixes, pancake mixes, hot chocolate mixes and chocolate pudding mix.

    This vanilla cake mix is a keeper recipe because it works with both eggs and without eggs as well.

    I also made a chocolate cake mix. I used both the cake mixes and created a eggless version of it and baked this zebra cake. The texture is just perfect. So this cake mixes is perfect for eggless version as well.

    Ingredients
      

    FOR CAKE MIX:

    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 ¼ cup 150 grams
    • Milk Powder - ¼ cup 30 grams
    • Sugar - ¾ cup 150 grams
    • Baking Powder - 2 tsp
    • Salt - ½ tsp

    FOR MAKING CAKE WITH EGGS:

    • Eggs - 2 small
    • Milk - ½ cup + ⅛ cup
    • Melted Butter or Oil - ¼ cup 60 ml
    • Vanilla Extract - 2 tsp

    FOR EGGLESS CAKE:

    • Yogurt / Curd - ½ cup 120 ml
    • Milk - ½ cup 120 ml
    • Melted Butter or Oil - ¼ cup 60 ml
    • Vanilla Extract - 2 tsp

    MY 1 CUP MEASURES 240 ML

      Instructions
       

      • Mix all ingredients given for cake mix together and store in a air tight container.
      • When making cake, Mix the cake mix with the ingredients listed and pour it in the prepared pan and bake in a 180 degree C preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins.

      Notes

      1)The mixture can be stored for more than a month in pantry shelf.
      2)For storing longer, store it in freezer.
      3)This cake makes one 9 inch round cake or 12 cupcakes.

      7)Now the mix is done.

      8)Store it in a container.

      9) This can be stored in shelf for 1 month. You can store in freezer for over 3 to 5 months.

      10) When making cake, you can mix 2 small eggs, ¾ cup milk, 2 tsp vanilla and ¼ cup melted butter or oil.

      Pour this in a 9 inch round cake pan, bake in a 180 degree C preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins.

      11)If you want EGGLESS RECIPE, this is how you make it. Grease your pans with oil and dust with flour.

      12)I wanted to make zebra cake. So I prepared the both vanilla and chocolate batter. Recipe for chocolate cake mix here.

      I added ½ cup yogurt, ¾ cup milk and ¼ cup oil for eggless version.

      13)I alternated the batter to create a zebra cake.

        Hi Aarthi,
        If I want to make a big batch of the premix how much should I use for one cake at a time..1 cup of the premix or 2.. and how much of wet ingredients would then be needed..?
