    Homemade Chocolate Cake Mix Recipe - Edible Christmas Gift Ideas with step wise pictures.

    An amazing fail proof chocolate cake mix recipe which never goes wrong. This cake mix can be made both with eggs and eggless. This recipe is a keeper.

    Since it is the festive season, you must be wondering what gifts to give for your friends and families. So i thought of sharing some cool edible gift ideas for you all.So i sat down with a paper and pen and wrote down all of the possible and family favorite recipes. I came up with few cake mixes, pancake mixes, hot chocolate mixes and chocolate pudding mix.

    This chocolate cake mix is a keeper recipe because it works with both eggs and without eggs as well.

    I also made a vanilla cake mix which will be shared soon. I used both the cake mixes and created a eggless version of it and baked this zebra cake. The texture is just perfect. So this cake mixes is perfect for eggless version as well.

    Ingredients

    FOR CAKE MIX:

    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - ¾ cup + ⅛ cup 105 grams
    • Cocoa powder - ⅓ cup 35 grams
    • Milk Powder - ¼ cup 30 grams
    • Sugar - ¾ cup + ⅛ cup 175 grams
    • Baking Powder - ¾ tsp
    • Baking Soda - ½ tsp
    • Salt - ¼ tsp
    • Instant Coffee Powder - 1 tsp

    FOR MAKING CAKE WITH EGGS:

    • Eggs - 2 small
    • Milk - ½ cup + ⅛ cup
    • Melted Butter or Oil - ¼ cup 60 ml

    FOR EGGLESS CAKE:

    • Yogurt / Curd - ½ cup 120 ml
    • Milk - ½ cup 120 ml
    • Melted Butter or Oil - ¼ cup 60 ml

    MY 1 CUP MEASURES 240 ML

    Instructions

    • Mix all ingredients given for cake mix together and store in a air tight container.
    • When making cake, Mix the cake mix with the ingredients listed and pour it in the prepared pan and bake in a 180 degree C preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins.

    Notes

    1)The mixture can be stored for more than a month in pantry shelf.
    2)For storing longer, store it in freezer.
    3)This cake makes one 9 inch round cake or 12 cupcakes.

    Pictorial:

    1)Take all purpose flour in a bowl

    2)Add in cocoa powder

    3)Add in milk powder.

    4)Add in sugar

    5)Add in baking powder, baking soda and salt.

    6)Add in instant coffee powder.

    7)Whisk well. You can sieve it

    8)Store in a air tight container.

    9)This can be stored in shelf for 1 month. You can store in freezer for over 3 to 5 months.

    10)When making cake, you can mix 2 small eggs, ½ cup milk and ¼ cup melted butter or oil. Pour this in a 9 inch round cake pan, bake in a 180 degree C preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins.

    11)If you want EGGLESS RECIPE, this is how you make it. Grease your pans with oil and dust with flour.

    12)I prepared the batter. I also made a vanilla cake mix which will be shared soon. I added ½ cup yogurt, ½ cup milk and ¼ cup oil for eggless version.

    13)I alternated the batter to create a zebra cake.

    14)Pop it in a 180 degree C preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins.

     

    15)remove it and slice and serve.

      For the eggless version can we use 1/4 cup melted butter
      Instead of 1/4 cup of oil

        if you have convection mode you can bake. Same temp and same timing

      I tried the eggless version of your recipe. It came out good. However it needed more milk to get a pouring consistency. I tried your vanilla cake mix recipe too... It is a total flop. The recipe lacks baking soda which is very crucial in an eggless cake recipe.. the baking powder is not enough for the cake to rise.. the vanilla cake mix recipe needs baking soda to react with the curd and milk to allow aeration. Aarti , kindly recheck recipe old. Both recipe needed extra milk..
