Burgers are my all time favourite..I have quite a bit of burger recipes in my blog, check them out here. This burger is my latest favourite one, because they are spicy, sweet, juicy and flavourful. They have a variety of fresh topping and a addictive candied bacon topping as well.

I used Wright Brand® Bacon for this burger..And it clearly took the normal burger to the next level with their sweet and savoury combo..This clearly shows that bacon is not only meant for breakfast, it can jazz up your lunch or dinner to the perfect level.

    Preparation Time : 10 mins
    Cooking Time : 30 mins
    Serves : 3 to 4

    Ingredients:

    Burger Buns - 3 to 4
    Tomatoes - 2 sliced thinly
    Onions - 1 sliced thinly
    Lettuce for topping

    For Burger Patty:
    Mutton Mince - 500 grams
Cumin Powder / Jeera Podi - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1.5 tsp
    Salt to taste
Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
Coriander leaves - 3 tblspn finely chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Green Chillies - 2 finely chopped
    Breadcrumbs - ¼ cup
    Oil for frying patty

    For Herbed Yogurt:
    Yogurt / Curd - 1 cup
Coriander leaves - 3 tblspn finely chopped
Mint Leaves - 3 tblspn finely chopped
Green chillies - 1 chopped finely
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste

    For Candied Bacon:
    Bacon - 6 chopped
    Brown Sugar - 2 tsp

    Method:

Take all the burger patty ingredients except oil in a bowl and mix well. Shape it into equal size burger patty, flatten it lightly and plate it in a plate. Chill this in fridge for an hour.

Now make the candied bacon, take bacon and sugar in a frying pan and cook them till the sugar melts and coats the bacon and turns crispy. Drain it to paper towel and set aside.

Mix all the ingredients for herbed yogurt and set aside.

Now lets fry the burger patty. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the patty on both sides for 5 to 7 mins till cooked.

Now take the burger bun and slit them open, toast them in the frying pan till golden..

Place a burger bun on a plate, plate lettuce, onions, tomatoes, candied bacon, burger patty and herbed yogurt over it, cover with another bun and serve.

    Enjoy.

I am surprised to see that you are using bacon in your cooking..they are processed pork and not good for you even though they are good.
