Raita makes a great sidedish for any spicy biryani or pulav. Commonly we make raita with onions, cucumber and stuffs like that. But frankly it can be made with most of the veg. One of the veg i love to use the humble radish. Radish has a weird smell in it, but once it is cooked and made into this raita it taste really good..I served this with my cabbage soya biryani..

I used my homemade curd for this raita which made this even more tastier. Raita should be made with thick unsour curd and a little sugar is must because it cut any tartness from the curd and makes it even more tastier..So give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    Method:

Heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard and urad dal, let it splatter.
