    Ingredients
      

    • Chepankilangu Leaves / Arbi Leaves -4

    FOR BATTER:

    • Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 1 ½ cup
    • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tblsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Jaggery / Gur - 3 tblsp
    • Tamarind Pulp - 3 tblsp
    • Ginger Paste - 1 tblsp
    • Oil - 1 tblsp
    • Water as needed

    FOR SEASONING:

    • Oil - 2 tblsp
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - ½ tsp
    • Sesame Seeds / Ellu / Til - 2 tblsp
    • Curry Leaves - 1 sprig

    Instructions
     

    • Mix all ingredients to a smooth thick batter.
    • Take arbi leaves and remove the thick stalk.
    • Take each leaf spread batter on top place another leaf and repeat the same.
    • Roll it tight.
    • Steam it for 30 mins.
    • Cool it and cut into pieces.
    • Now heat oil in a pan, add in mustard, cumin and sesame seeds and let it sizzle.
    • Add the sliced arbi roll and cook till light golden.
    • Serve hot.

    1)Take gram flour in a bowl

    2)Add in red chilli powder and turmeric powder

    3)Add in tamarind pulp

    4)Add salt

    5)Add ginger paste

    6)Add in jaggery

    7)Add in oil

    8)Add in water

    9)Mix well to a smooth paste

    10)Take arbi leaves

    11)Slice the stem

    12)I removed the stem

    13)Place a leaf

    14)Spread the batter

    15)Spread evenly

    16)Place another leaf

    17)Keep repeating

    18)Start rolling

    19)Roll it

    20)Now it is rolled

    21)Slice in half and steam

    22)Heat water in a kadai

    23)Place steamer on it

    24)Steam for 30 mins

    31)Done

    32)Cool it completely

    33)Slice

    34)Time to fry

    35)Heat little oil

    36)Add mustard and cumin

    37)Add in sesame seeds

    38)Add asafoetida

    39)I added some curry leaves

    40)Place the patra

    41)Cook till golden

    42)Serve
