    Lemon Sevai Recipe

    Lemon Sevai Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is prepared mainly using lemon juice and cooked idiyappam. It can be served without any side dish and also as a snacks.

    Lemon Sevai

    This is a quick and easy breakfast recipe which you can make in just few mins. If you have some leftover idiyappam or sevai, you can turn them into this lemon sevai within minutes. I will soon share other flavoured sevai which i make.

    Ingredients to Make Lemon Sevai

    • Oil - 1 tblspn
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - ½ tsp
    • Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
    • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - a pinch
    • Dry Red Chillies - 2 broken into small pieces
    • Curry leaves a sprig
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Lemon Juice - 2 tblspn or to taste
    • Salt to taste
    • Cooked Idiyappam - 2 cups (Recipe here or here)

    How to Make Lemon Sevai

    1. Heat oil in a pan, add all the ingredients given till turmeric powder and let them sizzle.
    2. Add in lemon juice and salt and mix well.
    3. Add in cooked idiyappam and mix well.
    4. Serve.

    Lemon Sevai Step by Step

    Heat oil in a pan

     

    add mustard seeds and urad dal

     

    add asafoetida

     

     curry leaves and dry red chillies

     

    add turmeric powder

     

     lemon juice

     

    add salt

     

    mix well and let them heat up

     

    add cooked cooled idiyappam

     

    toss well

     

    Serve
