    Radish Poriyal Recipe

    Delicious simple radish poriyal which is easy to make and makes a perfect side dish for rice and any curries. This is one of the easiest dish you could ever make.

    Ingredients

    • Radish - 2 chopped
    • Oil - 3 tblsp
    • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
    • Fennel seeds / Sombu - 1 tsp
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Desiccated Coconut - ¼ cup

    Instructions

    • Take radish in a kadai. Add salt and little water. Cook till radish is done. Drain and set aside.
    • Heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard and fennel seeds and let it sizzle.
    • Add in radish and toss well. Add in spices, salt and mix well.
    • Cook till radish is done.
    • Add in coconut and mix well.
    • Serve.

    Pictorial:

    1)Take some radish

    2)Chop them

    3)Take it in a pot

    4)Add salt

    5)Add water

    6)Cover and cook

    7)Now radish is soft

    8)Drain them

    9)Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds

    10)add in fennel seeds

    11)Add in cooked radish

    12)mix well

    13)Now it is almost done.

    14)Once radish is well done.

    15)Add in chilli powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder.

    16)Mix well

    17)Add coconut. I am using desiccated coconut

    18)mix well

    19)Serve
