    Corn Pulao Recipe

    We were visited by my long time blog follower nafeesa yesterday, it was totally awesome. She came with her husband all the way from madurai to visit us. How nice it is...We had lots of fun and it was really wonderful. Yes of course i cooked some yummy stuff for her. They really enjoyed my food and i am happy about that. Thank you nafeesa for visiting us, we loved you guys.

    Now coming back to today's recipe, it is a yummy pilaf. I added some sweetcorn in it and made it a little colourful one. It was totally yummy and wonderful.Hope you will try it and let me know how it turned out.

    How to Make Corn Pulao Recipe (Sweet Corn Pulav Recipe)

    1. Wash and soak the rice for 30 mins.
    2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add in cashews, sultanas, cinnamon, bayleaf and saute for 30 sec.
    3. Now add in onions, green chilli, salt and saute for 5 mins till they turn golden.
    4. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
    5. Add in tomatoes, sweetcorn  and mix well.
    6. In goes the drained rice and saute well in the ghee.
    7. Now add in coconut milk and water. Bring it to a boil.
    8. Simmer the cooker and cover the pressure cooker and cook for 1 whistle. Switch off the flame and let the pressure go all by itself. If you are cooking in normal pan, cover the pan with a tight fitting lid. Simmer and Cook for 15 mins, and leave it covered for 10 mins.
    9. Now open the pan and fluff it up.
    10. Serve with raita.

    Ingredients
      

    • Basmati Rice - 1 cup
    • Sweet corn - 1 cup I used frozen
    • First extract Coconut Milk - 1 cup
    • Water - ½ cup
    • Salt to taste
    • Ghee - 1 tblspn
    • Onion - 1 large sliced
    • Tomato - 2 chopped
    • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tblspn
    • Green Chilli - 3 slit
    • Bay Leaf - 1
    • Cashews - 5
    • Sultanas / Kishmish - 6
    • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small stick

    Instructions
