    What is Hakka Noodles?

Hakka noodles is a Chinese preparation where boiled noodles are stir fried with sauces and vegetables or meats. A hakka noodle is made from unleavened dough( rice or wheat flour) that is cooked in a boiling liquid. Depending upon the type, noodles may be dried or refrigerated before cooking

    Where did Hakka noodles originate?

The Chinese immigrants here were Hakka people from Northern China, and the cuisine was, and still is, a mix of Chinese with Indian ingredients, and Bengali influences. To the original Hakka cuisine, the Tangra Chinese added green and red chilies, made hot fiery pastes and sauces with oil and garlic.

      Hi Aarthi,

I came across your blog while searching for Kerala recipes. I must say that I've bookmarked many of your recipes by now :D. What I really like about Yummy Tummy is that you've made an effort to take photos of all steps. That is what beginners like me look for.

I try out your recipes every weekend and it turns out awesome. Thanks to you and your blog for motivating the cook in me.
