Hakka Noodles Recipe
Noodles is my favorite dish. I order it quite often when we drop by any restaurant. I make it often at home too. You can check out my noodle recipes in this blog. But this is the first time I used hakka noodles, normally i use plain noodles.
What is Hakka Noodles?
Hakka noodles is a Chinese preparation where boiled noodles are stir fried with sauces and vegetables or meats. A hakka noodle is made from unleavened dough( rice or wheat flour) that is cooked in a boiling liquid. Depending upon the type, noodles may be dried or refrigerated before cooking
Where did Hakka noodles originate?
The Chinese immigrants here were Hakka people from Northern China, and the cuisine was, and still is, a mix of Chinese with Indian ingredients, and Bengali influences. To the original Hakka cuisine, the Tangra Chinese added green and red chilies, made hot fiery pastes and sauces with oil and garlic.
I made it using lots of veggies. You can add cabbage, mushroom or any vegetables as you like in this noodles. I will share various variation of using this hakka noodles soon..Keep checking it..
