Ingredients

  • 1 litre Fresh Cow's Milk

Instructions

  • Take cows milk in a sauce pan. Bring it to a full boil. It will take around 10 mins.
  • Once the milk starts to boil. Take it off the heat, cover with a lid. Place it in fridge overnight. So the malai formed on top can harden and set.
  • The next morning. Remove the pan from fridge. Slowly remove the malai using a slotted spoon. It will look like a thick layer or malai which has a slight yellow colour to it.
  • Transfer the malai to a clean container which has a lid to it. Place the collected cream bowl in fridge or freezer (as per preference)
  • Repeat this process for few days. The more milk you use the more malai you get. Fresh cows milk yields more malai than packet store bought milk. Buffalo milk also help in more malai production.
