Tandoor is a large clay container which is filled half way with coal…Traditionally thet stick this naan bread dough over the sides of the tandoor and the heat from the coal will cook the naan bread in no time…
Normally our house don’t carry these kind of things so I have a naan recipe which is made in normal oven and it works perfect…
In future I will post a recipe which can be made in normal tawa…So wait for it…
Now off to the recipe…I hope you like it..
All purpose flour / Maida-2 ½ cup or 250 gms
Warm water as needed
Butter for brushing on top
Preheat the oven to highest temperature..
Mine went to 250°C(500°F)
In a mixing bowl add flour,sugar,salt,yeast together..
Pour in warm water and make a soft dough..Apply some oil and cover it with a damn cloth.
Let it rise for 30 mins..Divide into equal balls.
Roll this into oval shape and put this into a tray.
Put the tray into the oven in broil mode and cook for 2-3 min till it gets golden spots on top and puffed up.
Take it out of the oven and brush with some butter.
Serev hot with any curry.

|Add salt,sugar and yeast with flour…Mix together|
|make a well in the middle|
|Add in warm water and mix well|
|Make it into a dough|
|add some oil and spread it|
|Let it rest|
|till it doubles in size|
|Divide into equal portions|
|Roll it into a oval shape|
|Put it in the tray|
|Cook it in the oven|
|take some melted butter and apply on naan|
|Look at the pocket..You could even stuff something in this|
|Serve it with your favorite curry|
