Baby Prawns Roast Recipe – Kooni Podi Roast Recipe – Kooni Varuval Recipe

This is my second recipe using these baby prawns. I made a simple roast using it and it turned out pretty good. Hubby told that he loved this more than the thoran which i used to make.

Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Serves – 4


Ingredients:

Baby Prawns / Kooni – 3 cups
Coconut Oil – 3 tblspn
Garlic – 6 cloves chopped finely
Curry leaves a handful
Green Chilli – 2 chopped
Shallots – 15 chopped finely
Chilli Powder – 1 tblspn
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Salt to taste

Method:

Heat coconut oil in a pan, add garlic, green chillies and curry leaves.

Now add in onions, turmeric and saute for a min.

Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 mins.

Add in chilli powder and mix well.

Add in baby prawns and mix well. Add in salt and cook for 6 to 8 mins or so.

Now it is done.

Serve.

Pictorial:

Wash your baby prawns really well,
because there will be lots of sand on them
A Close look at them, they are so tiny..
heat oil in a pan, add in garlic, curry leaves and chillies
add in onions
mix well
add in turmeric powder
add in ginger garlic paste
mix well
add in chilli powder
add in baby prawns
add salt 
saute for few mins
now it is well roasted

    Is it necessary to remove the head and tail of those prawns

    Akka written there shallots but never use it also …
