    Besan Stuffed Peppers Recipe

    This recipe is very new to me, but i have seen this type of dish in many blogs which made me try my own take on it and it turned out to be super yum. Loved it to the core..

    I stuffed these peppers with toasted gram flour with spices. but i have seen recipes which uses potatoes as stuffing. will share that version soon..

    Preparation Time : 10 mins
    Cooking Time : 20 to 25 mins
    Serves : 3 to 4

    Ingredients:

    Banana Peppers - 8
    Oil - 1 tblspn + 2 tblspn
    Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
    Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 1 cup
    Salt to taste 
    Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    Coriander Powder / Malli Podi - 2 tsp
    Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder - 1.5 tsp
    Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
    Water a splash

    Method:

    Take your peppers, make a slit in the middle, remove the seeds and membrane. Set aside.

    Heat 1 tblspn oil in a kadai. Add in cumin seeds and let them sizzle, now add in onions along with some salt, saute for a min or so.

    Now add in gram flour and saute for 5 mins or so.

    Now add in the spice powders and mix well.

    Now add in coriander leaves and give a toss.

    Remove this to a bowl and sprinkle some water over and mix well.

    Stuff this into the peppers. 

    Heat some oil in a pan and place the peppers, cover and cook for 5 mins on each side.

    Remove and serve.

    Saute till it softens

    mix well and fry this for 5 mins or so

    Keep tossing

    Add in coriander leaves

    Mix well

    Remove this to a bowl

    Add in some water, dont add too much..just enough water so the stuffing is a little wet and not too dry

    Stuff the pepper with this masala

    all done..time to toast them

    Heat oil in a pan

    Place the peppers in the pan

    cover and cook
    Pin
    now the peppers are done
    Pin
    flip over
    Pin
    cover it for few more mins
    Pin
    now the peppers are completely done

    Serve
