    Chocolate Chunk Brownies

You all know i just adore brownies..I love making them a lot as well. Each time i like to experiment with those beauties.

    About the Recipe

A square or rectangular chocolate baked confection known as a chocolate brownie or simply a brownie. Brownies come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and their density determines whether they are fudgy or cakey. Brownies upper crusts frequently, but not always, have a glossy skin. Chocolate chunks can be made from the same
or similar chocolate as chocolate chips or compound (especially if they are store-bought), but they usually have a little more cocoa butter in them, which allows them to melt into flatter, more spread out patches in a baked good while in the oven.

I had some homemade chocolates which hubby got from kodaikanal. I was not much interested in eating them on its own, since it didn't taste as good as i expected. So i used that and made this delicious brownies.

What is the history of chocolate brownies?

Palmer requested a dessert suitable for ladies attending the Chicago Worlds Columbian Exposition in 1893 from a pastry chef. She asked for a cake-like confection that was smaller than a slice of cake and could be included in boxed lunches. The Palmer House Brownie with walnuts and an apricot glaze was the end result.

    Ingredients for Chocolate Chunk Brownies

    Unsalted Butter  :
Unsalted butter allows you to completely control the flavour of your recipe. This is especially important in baked goods that rely heavily on the pure, sweet cream flavour of butter (butter cookies or pound cakes). When it comes to cooking, unsalted butter allows the true, natural flavour of your foods to shine through.

    Cocoa Powder :
Cocoa powder is primarily used as a flavouring agent in baked goods such as cookies, ice cream, dairy drinks, and cakes. Aside from flavouring, it is also used in the production of coatings for confectioners or frozen desserts. Cocoa powder is also used in the beverage industry, for example, to make chocolate milk.

So here you go to the recipe and let me know how it turns out for you..
