    About Creamy Banana Milkshake

Banana milkshake is a thick and creamy, delicious drink made with ripe bananas, milk and sweetener. This banana milkshake uses frozen bananas instead of fresh ones, which makes the milkshake naturally thick, smooth and creamy without using ice cream.

Generally fruit milkshakes are made with fruit, milk, sweetener and ice cream. But if you want a light and healthier version, use frozen fruits instead. These frozen fruits make the milkshake rich and creamy without adding ice cream. You can even skip the sugar if your fruits are sweet enough. Check my banana smoothie.

There are many ways you can customize this banana milkshake to suit your taste. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup for a richer milkshake or blend banana along with blueberry to making this blueberry banana smoothie.

This banana milkshake is a perfect choice for breakfast, an evening snack or a refreshing drink on hot summer days. It is filling, naturally sweet and you can also top it with whipped cream, ice cream, chopped nuts for extra flavour.

    Ingredients

    • Banana : Use ripe bananas for the best flavour and natural sweetness. Frozen bananas work best for this recipe as they make the milkshake thick, creamy and chilled without ice.
    • Sweetener : Add sugar or honey according to the sweetness of the bananas. You can also skip the sweetener if the bananas are sweet enough.
    • Milk : Use chilled full-fat milk for a rich and creamy milkshake. You can also use almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, cashew milk or coconut milk for a dairy free version.

1)for this recipe, I am using ripe plantain banana.

2)peel off the banana peel and take them in a cutting board.

    3)Slice banana into rounds.

4)Take the sliced bananas in a ziploc bag, lay them flat.

5)Place them into the freezer and freeze them solid for few hours.

6)At the time of making smoothie. Take frozen banana in a blender jar.

7)Add sugar to taste. You can add honey or maple syrup.

    8)Pour in chilled milk.

9)Blend the milkshake into a thick and creamy mixture.

10)Pour into serving glass and enjoy.

    Expert Tips

    • While blending, you can add cocoa powder, nutella, peanut butter, chocolate sauce or caramel sauce for extra flavour.
    • To make it extra nutritious, add some soaked almonds while grinding.
    • You can also top the milkshake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, dollop of whipped cream before serving.

    Storage and Serving

Banana milkshakes taste best when served immediately after blending.  Serve the milkshake in a glass with sliced bananas, chopped nuts or strawberries.

This is one of my favourite. I used frozen milk to make banana milkshake and add a few drops of vanilla essence.
